Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell it.
The short version
- We only collect what we need to reply to you, work with you and send you invoices.
- We don't sell personal data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Analytics only runs if you allow it. You can change your mind at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, whenever you like.
Who we are
The controller of your personal data is CodeFellas, Skopje, North Macedonia ("we", "us").
We are a small studio run by Andrej Taleski and Matej. We have not appointed a data protection officer. We don't have a phone line. For anything about your data, write to contact@codefellas.net and one of us will answer personally.
This policy is written to meet the Law on Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia (Official Gazette Nos. 42/20, 294/21 and 101/25) and, where they apply to you, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.
What we collect and why
| When | What we collect | Why | Legal basis | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You contact us or send an offer from our website | Name, email, phone number, what your business needs, your message, and the options you picked in the offer builder | To reply to you and prepare a quote | Steps you ask us to take before a contract | 12 months after our last contact, if we don't end up working together |
| You become a client | Contact details, company name, address, tax number, invoices, project messages and the files you send us | To deliver the work, invoice you and keep proper records | Our contract with you, and our legal duties under tax and accounting law | During our work together. After that, invoices and accounting records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and project messages and files until the time limit for legal claims has passed |
| You sign up for our emails | Email address, name if you give it, and a record of when and how you agreed | To send you occasional tips and offers | Your consent | Until you unsubscribe. We then keep only your email address on a "do not contact" list, so we never email you by mistake |
| You make a data request | The details in your request and our reply | To handle your request and show that we did | Our legal duty to respond | 3 years |
| You visit our website | Technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, handled by our hosting provider | To deliver the site and protect it from attacks | Our legitimate interest in a working, secure website | A short period set by the hosting provider, usually days. We don't use it to identify you |
| You allow analytics | Pseudonymous usage data: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type | To see which pages help visitors | Your consent | 14 months |
| You leave us a review | Your name or first name as you choose to show it, your business name if given, and your review | To show genuine feedback from real clients | Your consent | Until you ask us to remove it |
Why we ask for a phone number. We work by email. Your number is only a backup, in case our reply to your email bounces or doesn't reach you. We never use it for sales calls or messages you didn't ask for.
Please don't send sensitive data. We don't need health, religious, political or similar information to build a website, so please leave it out of messages and files.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- We don't use advertising cookies, social media pixels or cross-site tracking.
- We don't make decisions about you by automated means, and we don't build profiles of you.
- We don't send marketing emails without your consent.
Websites we build and host for clients
When we build, host or maintain a website for a client, the personal data collected on that website belongs to the client. For that data, the client is the controller and we act only as their processor, following their instructions and our data processing terms (see our Terms of Service). If you want to use your rights about data on one of our clients' websites, please contact that business. If you contact us instead, we will pass your request to them without delay.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the service providers we need to run our business. Each of them may only use the data to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Website hosting, security and email forwarding | USA and worldwide |
| Spaceship, Inc. (Spacemail) | Our email inbox | USA |
| Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) | Delivers messages from our website forms to our inbox | France (EU) |
| Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC | Website analytics, only if you allow it | EU and USA |
We may also share data when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities or a court, and to protect our legal rights. If our business is ever sold or merged, client data would pass to the new owner under this same policy, and we would tell you first.
Transfers between countries
Some of our providers store data outside North Macedonia, including in the United States. We only use providers that protect personal data with safeguards recognised by the Law on Personal Data Protection and the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, your data comes to us in North Macedonia, which does not currently have an adequacy decision from the European Commission or the UK. Data you give us directly, for example through our forms or by email, is transferred because you ask us to reply or to work with you. Data that clients send us is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for UK data, the UK Addendum.
You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
How we protect your data
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, two-factor authentication on accounts that hold client data, and access limited to the two of us. Backups are encrypted and kept for 30 days. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data and get a copy of it
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your data, where we no longer need it or have no legal reason to keep it
- Restrict how we use your data while a question is being resolved
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Take your data with you in a common electronic format (data portability)
- Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing or changing your cookie settings. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, fill in our data request form or email contact@codefellas.net. It's free. We will answer within one month. If a request is complex, we may need up to two more months, and we'll tell you why within the first month. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.
Complaints. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Agency for Personal Data Protection of North Macedonia (azlp.mk), or to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If you are in the United States. We don't sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. You can use the rights in this section wherever you live.
Age
Our website and services are meant for adults. You must be 18 or older to use our forms, sign up for our emails or work with us. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our services or the law change, and we'll change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use client data in a significant way, we'll email our clients before it takes effect.

Back to the topTerms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms explain how we work together. We've written them in plain language, because clear expectations make for better projects. Please read them before you sign, and ask us about anything that isn't clear.
The short version
- We start when the contract is signed and the work is paid in full. No surprises for either of us.
- You get exactly what your signed contract says. Anything extra is quoted in writing before we do it.
- Monthly and yearly plans are paid in advance, renew until you cancel, and have a minimum term.
- You're never locked in. When a plan ends, we hand over your website, a backup and your domain.
- After a plan ends, keeping your domain and website online is your responsibility. If you don't move them in time, your website can go offline and your domain can expire.
- Nobody can promise Google rankings or sales, and we don't.
- If you are a consumer, the law gives you rights these terms can't take away, including a 14-day right to withdraw.
The full terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are
These terms are between you and CodeFellas, Skopje, North Macedonia ("we", "us"). You can reach us at contact@codefellas.net.
How we communicate. We work by email and don't have a phone line. Notices, approvals, change requests and cancellations under these terms must be made in writing, and an email to or from contact@codefellas.net counts as writing. Please keep the email address you gave us up to date, and check your spam folder for our messages.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply to every website, online shop, monthly plan and extra service we provide, and to the use of our website.
Every project also has a signed contract. If the contract and these terms say different things, the contract applies.
Many of our clients are businesses. If you are a consumer, meaning you are buying for yourself rather than for a business, you also have rights under consumer protection law that these terms cannot take away. Where these terms say "for business clients", that part does not apply to consumers.
3. Who can work with us
You must be at least 18 years old to use our forms or work with us. If you act for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to sign contracts on its behalf.
4. Quotes, contracts and when work starts
- Prices on our website and in our offer builder are a starting point, not a binding offer.
- After we talk, we send you a written proposal with the scope, price, timeline and plan. A proposal is valid for 30 days.
- The contract. If you accept, we prepare a contract that sets out exactly what we will deliver, the price, the timeline and the plan, and refers to these terms. It must be signed by both of us, on paper or electronically.
- When work starts. We start only when both of these are true:
- the contract is signed by both of us, and
- the full price for the work has reached our account.
- Timelines in the contract count from the day both of these are true.
- Calls, advice, proposals and sample designs before that point don't oblige either of us to anything.
5. Prices, taxes and other costs
- Our prices are shown in euros. Clients in North Macedonia may pay in denars at the National Bank of North Macedonia middle exchange rate on the invoice date.
- Clients outside North Macedonia. Prices don't include VAT, sales tax or similar taxes due in your country. Where the reverse-charge rules apply, you account for that tax yourself, and our invoice will say so.
- No hidden fees. Everything you pay us is in your contract. If something costs extra, we tell you the price in writing and get your approval before we do it.
- Other companies' costs. Some things are paid to other companies, such as paid plugins, apps, platform subscriptions (for example Shopify) or email mailboxes. We quote these before buying anything for you. Their prices are set by those companies and may change.
- Changes to plan prices. We may change the price of a monthly or yearly plan. We will tell you at least 30 days in advance. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the new price applies.
6. Paying us
- Websites and one-off work are paid in full, in advance, before we start.
- Large projects in stages. For a large Custom project, the contract may split the work into stages. Each stage is paid in full before it starts.
- Extra work and changes outside your contract are quoted in writing and paid before we start them. Plan clients can choose to have them added to their next plan invoice instead.
- Monthly and yearly plans are paid in advance, at the start of each month or year.
- Family Start: the setup fee and the first month are paid before we start. After that, each month is paid in advance.
- Invoices are paid by bank transfer and are due within 14 days, unless your invoice says otherwise. Work that hasn't been paid for doesn't start.
- Bank and currency costs. You pay your own bank's transfer fees and any currency conversion, so we receive the full invoice amount.
- Late plan payments. If a plan invoice is late, we send a friendly reminder first. For business clients, late invoices carry statutory default interest under the law of North Macedonia. If a plan invoice is still unpaid 30 days after its due date, and we have warned you in writing, we may pause the services it covers until it is paid. For a website, this means showing a maintenance page. Nothing is deleted while a service is paused. If it is still unpaid 60 days after its due date, we may end the plan, and section 13 then applies.
7. Refunds
Our work is a service made specifically for you. Once we start, our time is reserved and spent on your project. So, apart from the consumer right to withdraw described below:
- Work that has started or been done is not refundable.
- Plan periods already paid for are not refunded if you cancel part-way through. Your plan simply runs until the end of the period you paid for.
- If we can't deliver what your contract says, we will first try to put it right at no extra cost. If we still can't, we refund the part you paid for that we did not deliver.
Your right to withdraw (consumers only). If you are a consumer and we agreed the contract at a distance, for example by email or online, you can withdraw from it within 14 days of the day we signed it, without giving a reason. To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email. You can use the form in section 27, but you don't have to.
If you ask us to start work during those 14 days and then withdraw, we refund what you paid minus the value of the work already done up to the moment you told us. Once we have fully completed a service at your express request, and you have confirmed you understand that this ends your right to withdraw, the right no longer applies to that service. Refunds are made within 14 days, by bank transfer.
8. Your part
To deliver on time, we need your help:
- Content. Send us your text, photos, logos and other materials within 2 weeks of the start, or by the date in your contract. If materials arrive late, the timeline moves by the same amount of time.
- Feedback. Give us feedback and approvals within the times in your contract.
- Your rights to materials. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, and that it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights. If someone makes a claim because of material you supplied, you are responsible for it.
- Your business and your legal duties. You are responsible for your own business information, prices, product claims and legal texts on your website, including your own privacy policy and terms. You are also responsible for making sure your website meets the laws of the countries where you do business, for example on consumer rights, cookies, accessibility (such as the European Accessibility Act or the Americans with Disabilities Act) and industry rules, unless your contract says we will handle a specific requirement. We can help, but we don't give legal advice.
- Projects that go quiet. If we can't reach you for 60 days during a project, we may close it. We'll warn you in writing first and deliver what is finished. You can restart within 6 months without paying again for work already done. After that, restarting needs a new quote.
9. Changes and revisions
Your contract says how many rounds of changes are included. A round is one combined list of feedback. Extra rounds, and new ideas outside the agreed scope, are quoted in writing and paid before we do them, at the hourly rate in your contract.
10. Launch and acceptance
When the website is ready, we ask you to check it. It counts as accepted when you approve it, when it goes live at your request, or 7 days after we hand it to you for review if you haven't reported any problems by then.
11. Our promise and its limits
- Bug fixes. For 30 days after launch, we fix free of charge anything that doesn't work as your contract says. This covers mistakes in our work. It doesn't cover new requests, changes you or others make, or problems caused by other companies' services.
- What we can't promise. We work carefully to help your website do well, but nobody can guarantee search engine rankings, visitor numbers, sales or results on platforms we don't control, such as Google, Shopify or social networks. Those companies change their rules and systems without asking us.
- No other promises. Apart from what these terms and your contract say, and as far as the law allows, we make no other promises or warranties, whether stated or implied, including that the website will suit a particular purpose we haven't agreed in writing. This doesn't limit your rights as a consumer.
- Response times. The reply times in our plans are working days (Monday to Friday, except public holidays in North Macedonia). They are our commitment for normal situations, not a guarantee for every case.
12. Monthly and yearly plans
- Start and renewal. Plans start when your website launches, or on the date in your contract. They renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- Minimum terms. The Arrangement, The Family and Care Only have a minimum of 3 months. The Consigliere has a minimum of 6 months, because SEO usually takes several months to show results. Family Start has a minimum of 12 months.
- The Consigliere on its own. The Consigliere can be ordered on its own, without a website from us or another plan, including for a website we don't host. In that case you give us publishing access, and you stay responsible for that website's hosting, security, backups and updates. We are not responsible for problems on it that our work didn't cause.
- Included hours are for the month they belong to. Unused hours don't carry over.
- Yearly renewals. We send you a reminder at least 14 days before a yearly plan renews.
- Cancelling. You can cancel by email, with 30 days' notice. Your plan ends 30 days after we receive your notice, or at the end of your minimum term if that is later. You pay for the plan until it ends. We confirm the end date in writing.
- Family Start. With Family Start you pay a small setup fee instead of the full website price, and you commit to The Family for 12 months. If you end it before 12 months, you pay the rest of the normal website price: the normal price, minus the setup fee, minus any part of your monthly payments that went toward the website. We'll tell you the exact amount before you decide. After 12 months, the website is fully yours.
13. When a plan ends: what becomes your responsibility
This section matters. Please read it carefully before you cancel.
What we do. Once all invoices are paid, we send you within 10 working days of the end date:
- your website files and a recent backup, including the database where there is one;
- the transfer code for your domain, if we manage it;
- a short handover guide with the information your new provider will need.
We keep your website online on our servers until the end date of your plan. We delete your website and its data from our systems 30 days after that date, unless the law requires us to keep something. After that, we can't restore it, so please make sure you have your copy.
What becomes your responsibility from the end date. From the day your plan ends, you are responsible for:
- your domain: keeping it registered and renewing it on time;
- hosting: moving your website to a new provider and keeping it online;
- security: updates, passwords and protection against attacks;
- backups: keeping your own copies of your website and data;
- email and any other service connected to your domain;
- other companies' subscriptions, such as Shopify, Wix, paid plugins and apps;
- legal requirements for your website.
The risks if these aren't taken care of. If your website isn't moved to new hosting before your plan ends, it will go offline. If your domain isn't renewed, it expires: your website and any email addresses at that domain stop working, and someone else may be able to register it. Search engines may also drop pages that are offline. We'll remind you of the end date at least 14 days before it, but we are not responsible for loss caused by these risks after your plan has ended.
Domains we registered for you. We register domains in your name wherever we can. If we registered or manage a domain for you, we stop renewing it when your plan ends. It stays registered until the end of the period already paid for. Please transfer it to your own account or new provider before then; we'll remind you at least once.
The Handshake. With The Handshake, all of the above is your responsibility from the day we hand the website over.
Shopify and Wix (Care Only). Your platform subscription stays yours. When Care Only ends, we remove our access, and the platform's own terms continue to apply.
Help with moving. If you'd like us to move your website to a new provider, we can do it as paid extra work, quoted in advance.
14. Hosting while you're on a plan
- Availability. We aim to keep sites online at all times, but no hosting is free of interruptions. We may do planned maintenance, and we'll try to do it at quiet times.
- Backups. We keep backups for 30 days. They are for recovering from problems, not a long-term archive, so please keep your own copies of important content.
- Domains. While you're on a plan that includes it, we renew your domain for you.
- Fair use. You may not use our hosting for anything illegal, for spam, for malware, for content that infringes others' rights, or in a way that puts our servers or other clients at risk. If that happens, we may suspend the affected service immediately, and we'll tell you why.
15. Who owns what
- Your website. Once you've paid in full, the finished website and the content made specifically for you belong to you. Until then, they belong to us.
- Our tools. We keep ownership of our own tools, code libraries, templates, modules and know-how that existed before your project or that we use across projects. We give you a permanent, non-exclusive right to use them as part of your website.
- Third-party components. Fonts, plugins and other components from other creators are used under their own licences. Some must be bought separately, and we'll tell you if so.
- Your materials. You keep ownership of everything you send us. You give us permission to use it only to do the work.
- Our portfolio. We may show the finished website in our portfolio and case studies. We'll never publish confidential information or your results without your permission. If you'd rather not appear, just tell us.
16. Confidentiality
We keep your business information confidential and use it only for your project. You do the same with our non-public information, such as our pricing in your contract and our methods. This doesn't apply to information that is already public or that the law requires us to share.
17. Personal data
How we handle personal data about you is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Data on your website. When we host or maintain your website, we may handle personal data that belongs to you, such as messages from your website's forms or your customers' orders. For that data, you are the controller and we are your processor. We will:
- only use it to provide our services and follow your written instructions;
- keep it confidential and make sure anyone who works with it is bound to confidentiality;
- protect it with appropriate security measures;
- only use other providers (sub-processors) that offer the same protection, and tell you before we add a new one, so you can object;
- help you respond to requests from people about their data, and with security and legal duties where we reasonably can;
- tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your data;
- delete or return the data when our work ends, as described in section 13, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- give you the information you need to check that we follow these rules.
Clients in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland. North Macedonia does not currently have an adequacy decision from the European Commission or the UK. When you send us personal data from those places, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (controller to processor, Module 2) apply to that transfer, together with the UK Addendum for UK data and the equivalent Swiss adjustments for Swiss data. They form part of our agreement, and we will sign them as a separate document whenever you ask. If the clauses conflict with these terms, the clauses win.
If you need a separate signed data processing agreement, ask us and we will sign one.
18. Security
We protect the websites and data we look after with reasonable, up-to-date security measures. No system is completely secure, though, and we can't promise a website will never be attacked. We are not responsible for problems caused by:
- passwords or devices on your side, or people you gave access to;
- plugins, apps, code or content that you or others added without us;
- other companies' services, or attacks that reasonable security could not have prevented.
If something goes wrong, we'll tell you promptly and work to restore your website from backup.
19. Other companies' services
Your website may rely on services from other companies, such as Cloudflare, Google, Shopify, Wix, payment providers and plugin makers. Their own terms apply to those services. We are not responsible for their outages, price changes, rule changes or decisions, but we'll help you deal with them where we reasonably can.
20. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intentional harm, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
- For business clients, our total liability for all claims connected to our work is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities or lost data that could have been restored from your own backups.
- For business clients, you cover our reasonable costs and losses if someone makes a claim against us because of your content, your products or services, your instructions, or your website not meeting the laws that apply to your business.
- If you are a consumer, you keep all the protections that consumer law gives you.
21. Things outside our control
Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events we can't reasonably control, such as natural disasters, power or internet outages, cyber attacks or failures at a major provider. We'll keep each other informed and resume as soon as we can.
22. Ending our agreement
- Either of us may end the agreement if the other seriously breaks these terms and doesn't fix the problem within 14 days of being told in writing.
- We may end it immediately if our services are used for illegal activity, spam or abuse, or in a way that puts other clients at risk.
- When the agreement ends, you pay for the work done up to that point, and section 13 applies to handover and your responsibilities.
23. Reviews
We only publish reviews from clients we have actually worked with, and we check each one against our project records before it goes up. We never pay for reviews, offer discounts or gifts in exchange for them, or write them ourselves, and we don't hide critical ones. We may decline a review that contains personal attacks, other people's private information or illegal content. If you want your review removed, just ask.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For existing monthly and yearly plans, we'll email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you. If you don't agree with it, you can cancel before it takes effect. Changes never apply to work you have already paid for.
25. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of North Macedonia. If we disagree about something, please write to us first. We'll both try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can't, the competent courts in Skopje will decide. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply to our agreements.
We don't work with people or businesses that are subject to sanctions by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States, and you confirm that you are not one of them.
If we provide these terms in more than one language, the Macedonian version applies to clients in North Macedonia, and the English version applies to everyone else.
26. If part of these terms is invalid
If a court decides that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
27. Withdrawal form (consumers only)
You can copy this text into an email to contact@codefellas.net:

Back to the topCookie Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This page explains the small files and storage our website uses, and how you control them. The short answer: we only use what the site needs to work, and nothing optional runs unless you say yes.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way, but stays in your browser and is not sent to anyone with each page. Both can remember things like your language or your choices. In this policy, we call them all "cookies".
What we use
| Name | Type | What it does | How long it lasts | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cf-lang | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose English or Macedonian | Until you clear your browser data | Necessary |
| cf-consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice, so we don't ask on every page | 6 months, then we ask again | Necessary |
| __cf_bm | Cookie, set by Cloudflare | Helps tell real visitors from bots, to protect the site | 30 minutes | Necessary |
| _ga | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Tells visits apart, so we can count them | 2 years | Analytics, only if you allow it |
| ga[ID] | Cookie, set by Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years | Analytics, only if you allow it |
Necessary items are needed for the site to work and to keep it secure, so they don't need your consent. You can still delete them in your browser.
Analytics is optional and off by default. We only turn it on if you allow it in the cookie banner or in Cookie settings. If you don't, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. If we don't use analytics at all, the banner tells you so and these cookies are never set.
What we don't use
- No advertising cookies
- No social media pixels or "like" buttons that track you
- No cross-site tracking
Our fonts and scripts are served from our own website, so loading a page doesn't send your data to font or code libraries. The only exception is Google Analytics, which only loads if you allow it.
How to change your choice
You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you turn analytics off, we delete the analytics cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary items, parts of the site, such as remembering your language, may not work.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and our clients' websites. When you visit them, their own cookie policies apply.
